Mystère 20 - 1:200 Scale Model

Designed as a successor to the propeller-driven Dassault Flamant liaison aircraft, the Mystère 20 is a small twin-engine jet with rear mounted engines and a swept wing design inherited from the Dassault Mystère IV fighter. It can transport 8 to 10 passengers. Piloted by René Brigand, the prototype Mystère 20 made its maiden flight at Bordeaux-Mérignac on 4 May 1963. On the advice of the famous aviator Charles Lindbergh, the US airline Pan-Am ordered 160 planes in 1963 as part of its efforts to set up a corporate jet sales department. For the US market, the Mystère 20 was renamed the Fan Jet Falcon, later the Falcon 20. 515 Mystère/Falcon 20 aircraft were built of which 90% were exported, mainly to the United States.
