The Rafale omnirole combat aircraft is produced as single and two-seater.
Air Force and Navy are equipped with different variants with common elements.
Intended for the Navy, the Rafale M is the only combat aircraft overseas to be able to perform operations from American carriers, by using their cataputs and shutdown systems.
With 9,500 kg of external carrying capability and a multi-purpose weapons system, the Rafale M performs regularly a wide range of missions of "quick reaction alert" (QRA), of defense and air sovereignty, strong projections and deploymenst for external operations, opeartion of deep strikes, air support for the land Forces
or even reconnaissance, as well as training outings for pilots. In service in the French Navy, the aircraft is combat proven.
