The configuration shown comprises Mica IR missiles and Meteor air-to-air AR missiles, three-bomb pylons each equipped with three AASMs - 3x 2000 litre tanks - and the lateral Damocles AV pod.The Rafale omnirole combat aircraft is produced in single-seat and two-seat versions. Different models are made for the Air and Space Force and the Navy, although they share a large number of similarities.The Rafale C is the single-seat version used by the Air and Space Force. With a 9,500 kg external payload, it can carry out a broad range of different missions that previously required the use of specialist aircraft: air superiority and air defence, ground strikes, deterrence, aerial reconnaissance, etc. With its multi-faceted weaponry and sophisticated equipment, the Rafale C can carry out ground strikes and air-to-air combat during a single sortie. Such performance has won over a number of export customers. Already a user of the Alpha Jet, Mirage F1 and Mirage 2000, the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) has purchased 36 Rafales. The Qatari single-seat version is called the Rafale EQ. The aircraft are deployed in the al-Adiyat squadron and operate from Tamim air base.
