Mirage 2000B- 1:48 Scale Model

Included is a sheet of decals with which you can customise the aircraft (Registration numbers, wing and squadron insignia) together with a “clear and complete” notice. Customisation is quick and easy. Developed by Dassault Aviation using its own funds, the Mirage 2000 B is a training aircraft, although it retains its radar and offensive capabilities. Very similar to the single-seat Mirage 200 0C, it differs from the latter not only in the second cockpit, but also in its slightly reduced fuel capacity and the absence of cannons. On its maiden flight on October 11, 1980, in the hands of Michel Porta, it broke the sound barrier and reached Mach 1.4. The French Air Force ordered 30 of these, delivered between November 1983 and December 1994. The first 14 were fitted with RDM radars, and the first 21 with M53-5 engines. Although all Mirage 2000 C squadrons are equipped with these aircraft, the majority are fitted to the 2/2 Côte d'Or squadron, whose main mission is operational transformation, from 1989 onwards. This mission has now been assigned to the 2/5 Île-de-France squadron at Orange-Caritat air base 115, which uses the last remaining aircraft in service.
