Rafale DQ 1:72 Scale Model

The Rafale omnirole combat aircraft is produced in single-seat and two-seat versions. Different models are made for the Air and Space Force and the Navy, although they share a large number of similarities.The Rafale B is the two-seat version used by the Air and Space Force. It has the same capabilities as the single-seat version but accommodates a navigation/weapons systems officer in addition to the pilot. The idea of producing a two-seat version of the plane was considered at the initial design stage, and the Rafale B was thus equipped with an identical airframe to the single-seater with the same fuselage length. With a 9,500 kg external payload, the Rafale B can carry out a broad range of different missions that previously required the use of specialist aircraft, such as air superiority and air defence, ground strikes, deterrence, aerial reconnaissance, and training.Such performance has won over a number of export customers. Already a user of the Alpha Jet, Mirage F1 and Mirage 2000, the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) has purchased 36 Rafales. The Qatari two-seat version is called the Rafale DQ. The aircraft are deployed in the al-Adiyat squadron and operate from Tamim air base.
